Barbera (WS-6916)

A popular red onion variety with great yields and shows good tolerance to heat and other stressful factors. Each bulb exhibits dark ruby-red to burgundy-colored skins with single centers and plenty of color throughout the rings. Adapts very well to a wide variety of climates. Final product reports an average a long storage life, all while retaining amazing flavor. Uniformity is impressive: high observance of single centers in most products, plus bulb shape is always consistently round. Foliage on plants is resistant to bolting.
